Cascade Wilderness Medicine provides nationally recognized Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness First Aid, and Re-certification trainings. Wilderness Medicine training is invaluable to anyone who recreates in the outdoors and is required for many jobs in the outdoor industry. Cascade Wilderness Medicine is a provider of the Wilderness Medicine Training Center curriculum. Certifications are reciprocal with all other major providers and last 3 years.

Course Types
Wilderness First Aid
For: This course may be the best choice for weekend campers, people taking day hikes within cell phone coverage, and those who are just looking for basic instruction. If you like it and want more, you can always come back later and take a longer, more intensive course.
Adult & Child CPR/AED certification may be included - it can vary by course.
Two Formats:

Hybrid 2-Day WFA

WFR and WEMT Recertification
For: Graduates from approved wilderness medicine schools may recertify with us by successfully completing a Recertification course or by completing a Wilderness First Aid course and passing our online WFR & WEMT
Recertification test if they are currently certified OR in their grace period. Click here for a list of currently approved providers.

Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
For: Outdoor professionals, those who take multi-day or longer personal trips, those who take part in high risk activities (rock climbing, whitewater paddling, mountaineering, multi-week expeditions of all kinds, etc.), or those who simply want to know more about wilderness medicine.
Adult & Child CPR/AED certification is included.
Two Formats:
Standard 9-Day WFR
Hybrid 5-Day WFR
